Scarecrow Fest Musicians

Join us Oct. 5 from 1-4 p.m. We're thrilled to welcome phenomenal musicians to join in the fun. Each musician will play a 30-40 minute set, so you'll be able to enjoy great sounds throughout the festival.

Tim Kapeluck - Singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist Tim Kapeluck’s music is steeped in the traditions of bluegrass and Appalachian folk. Released in 2018, his first album, By Time and Gravity, has 11 original songs including stories of characters that live on the fringes, social commentary, heartbreak and redemption.

Sharon Klein - Sharon Klein, who makes her home in Stone Ridge, has visited and toured with her guitar in almost 40 countries. She is a regular performer on the Hudson Valley Americana and folk music circuit. Her musical roots of deeply personal story songs are played masterfully on finger style guitar. Sharon is influenced by such artists as Mary Gautier, and Melissa Etheridge and Mary Chapin Carpenter.

Elly Wininger - Inducted into the NY Blues Hall of Fame in 2014, Elly Wininger won the Hudson Valley Blues Society Solo/Duo Challenge and went on to be a semifinalist in the 2023 International Blues Competition. Elly's deep involvement with the country blues finger style and slide guitar as well as her award-winning original songs have earned her a reputation for highly entertaining performances. Her most recent album, The Blues Never End, spent 12 weeks as the #1 Acoustic Blues Album on the Roots Music Report.

Doug Yoel - A native New Yorker, Doug Yoel has been performing and recording original and classic songs since the late '90s. After a stint creating and performing comedy music with shock-jock Opie, Doug spent a decade producing greats of jazz and blues, earning Grammy nominations and international Grammy Awards with Roy Haynes, Lucky Peterson and Mingus Big Band. He followed Dylan and The Band to Woodstock (some 40 years too late) and has been making music there ever since. Doug continues to perform solo and record his original music, with new releases planned for 2025.
