NOVEMBER VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Israel Wittman Sanctuary (IWS) is now more than 200 acres, thanks to our most recent land acquisition, so we need more volunteers help us steward it. We have a special project at our largest preserve that needs many hands. We'd like to have you join us.
Barberry Removal
Thursday, Nov. 7, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
We work diligently throughout the year to remove invasive plant species from the preserve. Barberry removal is next on our list. WLC staff members will provide training for proper removal techniques. The work will include pulling and cutting shrubs. WLC will supply tools. Please RSVP so we know how many tools are needed. Be sure to wear long pants and hiking shoes and bring heavy gloves, tick protection and water. We are happy to have you participate. We will be meeting in the morning in the IWS parking lot.
We are requiring volunteers to RSVP, so we can get an accurate count and contact you in case of a weather cancellation. RSVP at info@woodstocklandconservancy.org.
