While it will take a few months for us to complete the acquisition, we are able to move forward thanks to our generous supporters! You helped us save 65 acres of unfragmented forest on Mt. Tobias -- preserving it forever for recreation and wildlife -- through your donations, which ranged from $5 to $105,000. Truly, every dollar made a difference. We had until March 31, 2025, to raise $310,000 to ensure this unique area stayed out of the hands of developers who could have subdivided it to create multiple homesites. A few select homeowners could have had access to these awe-inspiring views of the Catskills, but you ensured we all can enjoy those views as we hike, mountain bike, enjoy backcountry skiing or go snowshoeing. WLC's purchase the property will get the region a big step closer to constructing a trail that connects the top of Mt. Tobias to the Maurice Hinchey Catskills Visitor Center.

We initially secured $210,000 toward our goal and identified a generous supporter who agreed to match up to $50,000 to get us to our $310,000 goal. We were able to raise that $50,000 in record time, thanks to dozens of donators.
