WLC SEEKS NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Woodstock Land Conservancy (WLC) is seeking a dynamic and energetic leader for this 33-year old community-based land trust in the Eastern Catskills. Overseeing a staff of two, the organization focuses on expanding land, water and natural resource protection; offers regular programming; supports building sustainable communities working to mitigate and adapting to climate change; works to expand trail connectivity and seeks to connect land use to community priorities working with municipalities, and numerous stakeholders. Full-time starting December 6, 2021.

Ten or more years experience requested with:
● Project /organizational management and leadership overseen by a Board
(non-profit or for-profit)
● Fundraising/Sales and donor cultivation success
(major donor solicitation; foundation/government/business grant writing and reporting; mail appeals; events; capital campaigns; or Sales Goal Achievements; other)
● Familiarity with and passion for conservation, environmental and sustainability issues from global and local perspectives. Educational and/or professional land conservation, as well as outdoor recreation experience, a plus.

ED works closely with Board of Directors. Interpersonal, social networking, marketing and writing skills required. Land acquisition and/or property stewardship experience a plus. Familiarity with Woodstock area lands, including Catskill Park and NYC Watershed communities is important.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, Social Media Platforms required.

Work from Office in Woodstock, NY.

Salary $60,000-85,000 commensurate with experience benefits include, health care stipend, Woodstock location, Excellent Vacation/Holiday schedule.
